SoNyuhShidae a.k.a. Girls’ Generation or soshi (as how I call them most of the time), is rocking the KPop scene BIG TIME! Got Taed!

The path that all soshists pay homage to; the mecca of soshism; the unspoken truth that needs no affirmation but is by nature articulated nonetheless; the branch of belief that all who follows soshism are bound to observe sooner or later – TAEISM.

Bitterly sweet enduring, a slow process that creeps on you without you realizing, slowly but surely, all soshists are bound to love the kid leader, admit it or not.

TAEISM, as to my current understanding, has three levels; the first one being: “weirdness”.

She’s different; something’s not right.

Out of all the nine girls, TaeYeon would seem to be the weirdest from a first time onlooker’s point of view. Something about the girl is just not right. And then when you find out who she is you’ll ask, ‘she’s the leader?!’ Now just what does it imply about the other girls? ┐(-_-)┌

Don’t tell me you didn’t notice her weirdness before ending up loving her. Don’t bother, I won’t buy it. ф (. . )

Remember, she’s a human as well just like every one of us. You have a right to be yourself, why not her? For acting how she wants and for showing who/how she is, people/fans gets TAED!

After getting used to the weirdness, you’ll start noticing and appreciating the funny dork that she is. “Leaders are not supposed to be like this”, again, you’ll think. But TaeYeon is just not any leader nor is she just anyone. S.O.S.H.I. Got it?

Adorable + dork = ?

After careful deliberation an emotional sorting, you’ll find yourself magically attached to this kid. You find her weirdness and dorkiness as “adorable”. When that happens, congratulate yourself for moving on to another level – adorkable.

You find her amusing no matter what she does and say. You start copying her vocabulary – Jjajangmyun, amajing, shalala~, etc.

She’s the highest among all the adorkables if there is such. If none, she created its existence. “Adorkable since meeting TaeYeon”. You dream of becoming one, with umma as your leader.

And when you have passed all those levels, there’s nothing that could ever make your love and acceptance of Taengoo waver.

+ You love her voice; watching soshi performances while holding on to your seat tight when her turn to hit her high notes comes. You rush to your pc to watch one “Complete” performance ffwd-ing >> to Tete’s high note part before leaving for work/school.

+ You stalk/lurk/spazz on Taengoo and soshi related threads/sites.

+ She’s your favorite but you claim to love and care for the other eight kids as well just like how she does.

+ You no longer see weirdness as weird;

+ mumbling nonsense words becomes a habit;

+ eating confetti’s or having butt fetish becomes nothing but natural;

+ chubby, with or without bangs (or even hair), with googley eyes, with or without slipsoles… you still love Taengoo. And the best part of it, you join teasing her but out of love rather than irrational hatred.

What’s next to do?

Nothing, just love Taengoo. That and support soshi,

Join online forums; ^{*cough*shameless plugging*cough*} soshified.com ^{*cough*shameless plugging*cough*} for international fans as the jjang! After that you can join the TaeGang too. Then, the ultimate move, be an S♥NE.

Personal comment:

Personal experience-wise, Taeism widens ones perspective on everything except on matters related to height ^{(anyone taller than umma is illogical)} and any milk without straw is unacceptable! Plus, not just any milk will do, it has to be soya milk.

Prediction:

She will rule the world with the help of her Dandyu partner and oversized lollipops.

Last note about Taengoo:

She won’t cry even if they win blahblahblah award, but for hair on armpits – yes, black string on armpits – she’ll shed rivers of tears… <(¯^¯)>

Also, beware of the tantalizing tongue and wink. It’s deadly. *ahjumma-ish laugh*
